Bekuh BOOM is a professional songwriter, signed to Warner Chappell Music in Los Angeles, CA.  She was born (Rebecca Johnson) and has been writing songs since age 11.  She began making videos and sharing her singing abilities on social media.   Producers began contacting her and wanting to work with her.  Once she began working with producers they were amazed at the songwriting abilities she had for being so young.  Word spread throughout the music industry about this young girl named Bekuh BOOM.  Soon L.A. based publishers heard about her and set up meetings to listen to her music.

By the age of 18, Bekuh had four music publishers offer her a publishing contract.  It was a very difficult decision but in the end she went with her gut and chose Warner Chappell Music.  In a meeting with the now president of North America Warner Chappell, Big Jon Platt, he had a hard time believing  that an 18 year old could write the lyrics and metaphors like she did.  Once her contract was signed it was only a few months until she landed her first number one hit on the ITUNES charts with Australian pop princess, Jessica Mauboy, with her single off of her “Beautiful” album,Pop a Bottle -Fill Me Up.”  The song went certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association and was one of Jessica’s biggest hits. She was written up about in the online Music Industry Quarterly for songwriters.

Shortly after that she co-wrote “Cookie,” for R. Kelly’s Black Panties album.  It was the 3rd single released off of his album and went on to land the soundtrack in the movie Magic Mike XXL in the final dance scene with Channing Tatum.

By age 19 she was requested by YG Entertainment to fly to Seoul Korea to work with CL from the KPOP mega stars, 2NE1.   While Bekuh was there, she met Taeyang from the KPOP boy band, Big Bang.  The two went into the studio and the song EYES, NOSE, LIPS was born.  Within hours of it’s release, the song went #1 in 19 different countries,  giving Taeyang and ALL KILL across 10 different live music charts, MelOn, Mnet, Olleh, Bugs, monkey3, Genie, Naver, Daum, Soribada, and Cyworld!  EYES, NOSE, LIPS went on to win (2) Song of the Year awards.  A huge accomplishment for both Taeyang and Bekuh.

Shortly after the huge success of EYES, NOSE, LIPS, Bekuh wrote a new song called Different” for HI SUHYUN, who are also artists signed to YG Entertainment.  With similar results the song shot to #1 on all (10) live music charts giving them and ALL KILL and the thrill of having their first #1 single.  YG Entertainment expressed surprise in the enormous success of the song, saying, “The results were better than expected. There’s a possibility HI SUHYUN will extend their activities if the public continues to give a positive response.”

The HIT songs just keeping coming for Bekuh BOOM as she flew to Denmark and co-wrote GOLDEN for Lukas Graham and Brandon Beal . The song was released February of 2016 and went #1 on ITUNES overall charts within hours of it’s release and has been a huge success for the duo.

In March of 2016, Bekuh was featured on a song she wrote called Money.  The very popular Norway producers “BROILER” heard the song and wanted to produce the track.  After 2 years they were finally able to pull all the details together and release the song.  To add to the release of the song, Broiler hired action villain actor, DannyTrejo to star in the video with Bekuh. Trejo is perhaps most recognized as the character Machete.

Bekuh recently had another KPOP song release with Cosmic Girls (WJSN) – called  “CATCH ME.”    As co-writer on the song, Bekuh brought an edgier hip hop vibe than previous songs the girls have done.  This is her 4th KPOP song release.

Bekuh’s newest song release is with Christopher of Denmark.  It’s a duet called “I Won’t Let You Down.”  It flew to the #1 spot on ITUNES within hours of it’s release and is having huge success!
